3M 2J TRANSPORT & CARON FABRICATION READY TO PRESENT THE WINTER BLAST 100 SNOW RACE

 

The New Year has arrived and Riverside Speedway and Adventure Park in Groveton, New Hampshire, is inching closer to the annual winter event, Winter Blast 100, the ultimate snow race in the Northeastern United States scheduled for Saturday, January 22nd at 1pm. This year’s event is sponsored by Mike McGee’s 3M2J Transport and Chris Caron’s, Caron Fabrication and Towing.

The past several events have enticed over 100 racing vehicles per year, with a high of 162. This race will be run on a snow covered race track to start and by part way through the event the track will turn to glare ice. No studded tires, tire chains or any device that would enhance traction is allowed. The final exciting attraction is every car is allowed a passenger to ride along with the driver creating an atmosphere that will make all the race fans smile.

Entry fee for this event is $75 for the car and driver, $40 for passenger (Includes pit fee), and general pit fee is $25.  General admission grandstand fees are $12 for adults 12 and older, $10 for Seniors and Military, and kids under 12 are free. Pit gates open at 9am, and grandstands open at 11am and post time is 1pm.

The 2021 edition of the Winter Blast 100 saw entries from New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Entries are starting to arrive in our mailbox with John Fultz from Billerica, Massachusetts having the honor of being the first driver entered in this year’s race.
