All kinds of racing action at Riverside

The competition was hot at Riverside Speedway & Adventure park Saturday night. In the Claudette and Dean's place Dare Devils a lap one tangle shrunk the field with Connor Charbonneau getting together with Brandon Sheldon and Windsor Hodgdon. Hodgdon went away on the wrecker while Charbonneau and Sheldon got to the pits on their own and would come back come feature time. Gorham N.H. Revin Evan Gilbert Got to the front first and held off a hard charging Brandon Sheldon to pick up another win with St. Johnsburys Sheldon holding on for second and last week's winner Alexis Lundblad coming in third. In the new R.N. Craft Street Stocks first time visitor Todd Libby picked his way through the field and brought home the first place hardware while the Stark Shark Jamie Swallow SR. battled with Groveton’s Chris Caron for second with Swallow getting that spot and Caron finishing third in his #32 machine. Two Groveton drivers had some hard luck in this class as Honkin Don Kenison got crossed up and hit the back stretch wall and two time champion Nick Gilcris got in a lap one skirmish and finished the race well back in the field. The Bonestock 6& 8 cylinder Bone stocks saw Maine’s Jamie Heath rack up another win in a different car this week. Last week's winner Floyd Bennett JR. got the second place finish with 2020 bone stock 6&8 champ Mike Sherburne of Groveton in third.
The M.H. Humphrey Lil Rascals Dwarf cars put on a great show as former two time dwarf car champion Eric Hall made his return to the Groveton high banks after a few years off. Hall is still working the bugs out of his new car and wasn't a factor for the win but it was good to see him back at Riverside. Once again this week the fight for the win was between the #29 of Tom Harwood and Lee N.H. Justin Harris with Harwood hanging on with both hands for the win, Harris right there in second and young Miller Buzzell picking up the third spot in his #18 machine. In the Bad Boy Mowers of Morrisville 4 cylinder Bonestocks Cody Hodge came from the back and got a well deserved win in his #72. Action was fast and furious as there were two and three wide racing all through the field. When the dust cleared 2019 bone stock champion Nick Ogden got second with Orleans Vermont's Doug Collins grabbing third. The Creative Counters late models started a little rough as the #28 of Brenna Humphrey got sideways on the start and tangled with the #74 of Justin Eldridge . Eldridge was done for the night as his car was too damaged to continue. Once racing got under way the #4 of Jamie Swallow JR. got the lead but at the halfway point brother Nate was knocking on the door and a few laps later got an opening on the bottom and squeezed the #04 through for the lead and the win. Grovetons Corey Masson was running Swallow down but ran out of time and finished in second with Jamie Swallow JR coming home for the third spot.
