Shawn Swallow victorious at Riverside

 GROVETON, NH- AUGUST 22, 2020- Shawn Swallow collected another first place trophy  in late model action at Riverside Speedway and Adventure park Saturday night.Swallow  picked his way through the field and took the lead on lap 27 and drove away from the rest  of the field. Shelburne, Vermont’s  Steve Fisher wheeled the Pillsbury Excavation  Chevrolet down pit road on a lap 16 caution and when racing resumed Fisher came from the  back and had a great run to bring the 24 in for a fine second place finish.  Northumberlands Jamie Swallow JR. made his first start in a number of years memorable  as he ended the 75 lap main event  in the third position.    Riverside Speedway honored all military Saturday night and had Denise Docett sing the  Canadian and American national anthems. Docett sings the anthems at New Hampshire  Motor Speedway every year as well.    IEkeys4Cars Formula Four action saw Chris  Caron pick up another win in his #32 car.  Mekaylah Bowen piloted the Bowens unlimited #12 to a career best second place in the  formula fours. Darren Newland brought his #25 home third in his first start at Riverside  sSpeedway.    Lil Rascals Dwarf car action saw Justin Stacey top the field in his Stacey Farms #3 with  Brenna Humphrey getting the second spot and Hiram, Maine’s Roger Egdecomb picked up  another top three finish in the #1X in third.    The White Mountains Community College 6&8 bone stocks ran green to checkers and  Groveton’s Mike Sherburne notched another win in his #83. Jamie Swallow SR. brought  the Swallow and Sons landscaping Dodge Charger in for second and Jacob Roy fought his  way to third.    The White Mountains Community College 4 cylinder bone stocks were 18 cars strong for 30  laps and when the dust settled Orlean, Vermont's Charlie Rockwell filled in for Travis  Collins and brought the #30 to the front and the win with point leader Ryan Heuser  finishing in second and Nate Swallow  finishing in the third spot in the #9x.      The Scottie Fraziers 2 To Go Show Flying Tigers put on a great show  with Groveton’s  Jason Kenison riding  the outside groove side by side with first Nick Gilcris and then  Rowdy Brad Bushey for 19 laps and finally came away with the lead and the win, This was  this third victory of the season. Bushey ended the night second, with Groveton’ Nick  Gilcris  finishing a strong third in the Boire Trucking Buick Regal.    Riverside Speedway will be off this weekend but will be back in action on September 5th  with a demolition derby.
